In recognition of Remembrance Day and the sacrifice of Canadian soldiers during wartime, the University Club has organized a tour of The Canadian Centre for the Great War. It should be a fascinating tour of the museum and its collection of historic artifacts. We will learn about Canada’s involvement in World War I and its effects on society. Many of the original members of the University Club fought in the Great War including Dr. John McCrae. He was a founding member of the University Club and died in 1918 before the war ended.
Location : Maison Forget, 1195 Sherbrooke Street West (next to the University Club)
Event Fee : $10 paid at the door of the museum.
Time : 11:45am to 12:45
Members are welcome to have lunch at the Club afterward.
